Tokyo has now joined the ranks of the super marathons, up there with London and New York, as 90,000 runners applied for the 35,000 places available. The Tokyo Marathon 2010 is the Tokyo's largest scale city marathon which features a marathon race with approximately 25,000 participants and a 10 kilometer race with approximately 5000 participants of both genders, including wheelchair users, and visually and mentally impaired athletes.
